Frequently Asked Questions

  • All appointments require a non-refundable booking fee of $200 - $500. Booking fees are included in the total price of your tattoo.
If you need to reschedule, you can carry the fee over to another booking. This can only be done once and the rescheduled appointment must be within 12 months of your original appointment date.

If you no-show or cancel with less than 48 hours notice you will forfeit your booking fee.

Booking fees can be paid via cash, bank transfer, eftpos or Paypal.

  • Small tattoos completed in less than 3 hours are quoted per piece and start at $200. A single word or symbol on the wrist/ankle would be roughly this price.

It is more cost effective to get multiple small tattoos at once as two small tattoos might be $300 (rather than paying $200 x 2 separate bookings).

For large and ongoing work I work in half day or full day sessions. A full day session is $1200 and a half day is $700. or if you’ve served in the military or emergency services its $1000.

  • My minimum charge only applies to tattoos on the arms, upper back and lower legs. Other body parts require extra time and attention to execute the tattoo perfectly and will be quoted at a higher price.

  • If you follow some simple guidelines you can ensure a smooth booking process, minimise your pain/discomfort and give yourself the best chance of healing your new tattoo

    • have read my policies and FAQ,

    • arrive on time (not early or late) clean

    • bring photo ID and cash (or notify me if you wish to use Afterpay),

    • have had a good sleep, lots of water, a big breakfast and are not feeling run down/sick,

    • bring lollies, a jumper, Ibuprofen (if you tolerate it), headphones, phone charger, extra pillows or anything else to help you feel more comfortable,

    • wear or bring appropriate clothing for the placement of your tattoo,

    • if you are going to be using numbing cream, insure its applied at least 1hr before our appointment. I would really prefer to not work with numbing cream as we do use minor pain relief during the tattoo

    • drink alcohol 24 hours before your appointment.

    • arrive under the influence of drugs/alcohol as this creates issues around consent.

    • arrive sunburned, I cannot tattoo sunburned skin and you may forfeit your deposit.

    • bring any extra people with you to your appointment, there is no space for extra people in the studio and it is a distraction for other clients/artists.

    • book your appointment too close to any other commitments. I will not rush the process or compromise the integrity of the piece.

  • I don't recommend any particular brand as it depends on your skin type and lifestyle. When I tattoo you, you have the option of leaving with either glad wrap or second skin. I recommend trying different methods of aftercare to see what works best for you to give you the best healed results possible. If you are new to tattooing and not allergic to adhesives I will recommend second skin as it removes the user error mistakes in a fresh tattoo.

    • If using glad wrap:- Take the glad wrap off 1-3 hours after your tattoo appointment finishes. Wash gently with warm soapy water. You can re-wrap with fresh glad wrap overnight on the first night to avoid accidentally scratching your fresh tattoo. From day 2 onwards do not wrap your tattoo. Wash it in the shower twice a day and apply a thin layer of aftercare 2-3 times daily.

    • Remember your tattoo is an open wound, treat it accordingly! Do not let anyone touch it or put your fresh tattoo near anything dirty.

    • Stay out of spas, pools, baths, saunas, the ocean and direct sunlight for the first two weeks.

    • While it heals it will peel off and feel itchy, avoid peeling or scratching your healing tattoo.

    • If your tattoo is red, painful or looks infected a few days into the healing process, you can use Savlon (from the chemist) in addition to your aftercare balm.

    • If you use second skin, leave it on for 2-5 days then take it off gently in the shower and continue your normal aftercare described above until fully healed.

    • Do not use regular moisturisers on your fresh tattoo as they have irritating ingredients, choose something specifically for tattoos or a simple oil like hemp oil.

  • Yes. Everyone heals differently and tattoos can heal perfect on one person and imperfect on another despite the same artist doing the tattoo.

You may have trouble healing your tattoo and require a follow up session if you have:

    • an auto-immune condition,

    • are diabetic,

    • allergies,

    • a bleeding disorder (or are on blood thinners),

It is my intention to create the best work possible, so please send me a healed photo one month after your appointment so I can assess whether you need a follow up session.

Touch ups are usually free. If you request a touch up after one month, or the tattoo is on your hands/feet/face/neck you may be offered a $150 flat rate for the follow up appointment.

  • I mainly use Dynamic ink, solid ink, and World Famous tattoo ink. These are all vegan inks. I can also supply a vegan set up if requested.
